Blue is one of the most beautiful of colors and is often represented in nature as sky or water.

 

Of the colors in the visible spectrum of light, blue has a very short wavelength. When the sunlight passes through the atmosphere, the blue wavelengths are scattered more widely by the oxygen and nitrogen molecules, and blue comes to our eyes. This is called Rayleigh scattering.

 

The color blue can be used to evoke a variety of feelings and emotions.
