"Thoughts While Creating"

 

When I came home today there was a package left on my doorstep.

 

My house isn’t the easiest to locate and I was totally surprised to find something left for me. I brought the gift (which I decided to call it since it was so nicely wrapped) inside and placed it on my dining room table.

 

There was no card nor indication of who left it. I decided that I would open the gift after my supper but when I was finished I was distracted by something. So I did not open the gift that first night but definitely made a plan to open it the next night.

 

Well a bunch of tomorrows have come and gone and the gift still sits unwrapped on my table. It seems many of life’s daily distractions have gotten in the way of me opening the gift. One night I came home to find that the gift was gone. But who could have taken it and how did they get into my home? In place of the gift there was a note card and with shaking hands I anxiously opened the card and saw that the following was written:

 

When does a gift become a gift, when it is given or when it is opened.
