"Thoughts While Creating"

 

Shadows creep across the silent landscape.

 

Closed many years ago, and now sitting idle, the old barn has outlived its usefulness. It now stands as just a reminder of another era, of a time when a handshake reflected a person’s bond and accountability, responsibility, and integrity were core attributes.

 

If we were to return and rewind the time machine circa 1920 what would we see. Farmers working the land and helping their neighbors build their homes and starting their lives. Shop owners giving birth to a new economy with a concern for other traveler’s well being. These people of the prior generations fulfilled a great dream and wrapped it with their energy and talent.

 

Although the days come and go and the weeks turn into decades for everything and everyone, aging is to be separated from wisdom. As with the old barn, and many of our fellow travelers, time needs to be celebrated; although the joints are creaky, the mind still fires with the excitement of possibilities and all its opportunities.

 

Forgotten shadows or keepers of the wisdom.
