"Thoughts While Creating"

 

There is a quietness that surrounds.

 

Has this beacon sent out its last flash of welcoming light? It now stands in the solitude of the sunset in the familiar place it has watched over for time and millennia. The seagulls circle their old friend and their loud calls harken us to an earlier time when the seas were agitated with the oncoming storms.

 

The storms will return and the leisurely boats will once again be buffeted by nature and its strong winds. Dark clouds will accumulate, the waves will be stirred by the brisk winds and the rains will pour down. For now though, it is calm, it is peaceful, and it is filled with the serenity of nature.

 

It will change; and ever vigilant, serenity beacon will be called upon once again to light the way to safety.
